That's where shoe trees come into play. Shoe trees, particularly ones made of cedar, help maintain the original shape of your footwear while absorbing moisture and odors at the same time.

Don't have shoe trees? No problem. Clean packing paper, tissue paper, or paper towels can help absorb moisture and keep things fresh in a pinch. However, we advise avoiding newspaper as the ink used can transfer when wetted to your footwear interior.

Fluff makes fitting UGGs tricky. Too tight and they can hurt your feet — too big and they’ll slide right off. There is a difference between snug and tight.

We often hear customers say they can feel the front of the shoe. This is common because UGGs are lined with a luxurious shearling interior that fills out the toe box. You will feel the shearling against your toes, and that’s normal. The solution is not to size up as going bigger usually means the boot won’t stay securely on your foot.

The proper fit for UGGs means your toes should not be hitting the actual front of the shoe.
To check: gently pinch the front of the boot to locate your toe. You should have about ½"–¾" of space in front of it. This allows room for natural movement while accounting for the shearling packing down over time.

More space than that? You risk ending up with a boot that feels too big once the lining compresses and the leather stretches.

3️⃣ Coverage: Ensure an even, thin layer covers the all leather portions that match the shoe cream color.

There isn’t a single shoe that’s truly better on bare ice without a little extra help.

The only reliable way to get traction on ice is with:
• Internal retractable cleats
• External crampons or strap-on spikes

Some footwear does feature “ice-grip” rubber soles, but these don’t guarantee traction. They tend to work best on wet ice and packed snow, not smooth, dry ice. While nothing is perfect, these options can still offer helpful added grip in winter conditions.

At the moment, we are sold out of our ice-grip rubber boots and retractable cleated boots. However, a few brands to keep an eye out for in the future include NexGrip (retractable cleats) and Oboz (with Vibram Arctic Grip soles), which are designed specifically for icy conditions.
